I believe one realizes very quickly that even though taking pictures may seem rather straightforward - what indeed could be difficult in putting someone in front of the camera and taking a shot – the result would be a technically accurate photo only, and nothing on beyond of that.
Portrait photography instead must convey much more - special features of a given person, emotions and feelings. It should reveal character and moods, or even more – transmit a personal, intimate and individual dimension of such model, a unique image as perceived by the photographer only. One should succeed in capturing every particular emotion that fully reflects a personality, emphasize its strengths and without a single word convey what is so often impossible to describe in writing !
Combining natural emotions with the element of posing, portrait photography attracts me mainly through the contact with the models - so different and fascinating ! Every person is beautiful in its own particular way - and that is why it is so interesting for me !
